T-Mobile has launched a new mobile plan for business customers, called “SuperMobile.” The plan includes 5G network slicing technology on its 5G Advanced network. It boosts application performance, provides low latency, and ensures fast 5G connectivity. It is offered on the 5G Advanced network that launched in April. T-Mobile is the first carrier to launch nationwide 5G Advanced service in the United States.

“We are the only company to combine satellite coverage, network slicing, low latency, low loss scalable throughput (L4S) and advanced 5G with built-in network security with Starlink,” the company’s CMO, Mo Katibe, said in a LinkedIn post.
Gabriel Brown, senior analyst for mobile networks at Omdia, explains that 5G Advanced is the next step in 5G Standalone (SA) technology, which is independent of the 4G core network. “SA is the basic architecture, 5G Advanced is the later enhancements like 3GPP Releases 18 and 19. So, SA is essential for 5G Advanced,” he said.
T-Mobile defines 5G Advanced as a complete 5G core network, including uplink and downlink carrier aggregation, RedCap (reduced capacity) technology, and L4S. These reduce latency and packet loss while maintaining high performance.
T-Mobile’s network scored high overall in the latest Opensignal assessment. It won in nine categories, including 5G performance, among others. According to Ookla Speedtest data, it won the best mobile and 5G speeds in the first half of this year.
Security features include data encryption, device authentication, T-Satellite satellite connectivity with Starlink. There’s also T-Mobile Threat Protection, which blocks threats on public Wi-Fi connections. It also makes it harder to track employees’ locations with Subscription Hidden Identifiers (SUCI).
This protects signal data from malicious individuals.
Companies like Delta Air Lines and Axis Energy Services use this plan. The plan, available to businesses with more than 13 lines, can be tested for 30 days.
